Melissa King, 21 Has enlisted in the United States Marine Corps (Siempre FI!!!! BouYA). She left for Boot Camp on 8 Aug, 2010. She has completed her first week, has been issued her rifle "but sadly no bullets" :-)

This blog is dedicated to her and her progress as she navigates the intense and rigorous training course that the Marine Corps will throw at her.

We have received several letters and as we get them, we will post our comments (and war stories) for all to follow, enjoy and encourage Melissa. So hopefully when she gets home she will read how we all are routing for and support her journey to become one of the Few, one of the Proud, a Marine.
